Farm Fresh Eggs for Your Table
Basic Information
Please note that we are a small family farm and garden looking to share our abundance. Ordering a few days in advance can help us ensure we have enough on hand.
There is nothing quite like a farm-fresh egg with a deep yellow or orange yolk to start your morning. Our girls are living their best lives in the Canton area, and we take their health and happiness seriously. We don’t just “keep” chickens; we provide a sanctuary for them. What started off as a hobby and wanting fresh eggs for my family during the pandemic has turned into a passion. Our birds have become part of the family.
The Secret is in the Diet
Our eggs are different because our hens eat differently. We farm our own live bug protein (black soldier fly larvae and meal-worms)to ensure they get the best nutrition possible. They also enjoy a balanced diet of:
-Fresh garden greens (no chemicals used ever!)
-Organic chicken feed as needed
-Fresh grasses and grains
To keep our flock safe from local predators while still giving them the best of the outdoors, we are currently building new chicken tractors. This lets them forage on fresh grass daily while staying tucked away and secure. We tried letting them free range until a few were hurt and killed by predators.
A Sanctuary for Every Bird
We have a special place in our hearts for the underdogs. Our flock includes girls who needed a second chance, like our sweet rescue with a crushed foot and another who is overcoming a selenium deficiency that caused her neck to fully curl under. By choosing our eggs, you are helping us support these special needs hens and give them a thriving, healthy life.
Safe Handling & Freshness
Because we want you to have the best experience, our eggs are washed either the day of or the day before you get them.
-Storage: Since these eggs are washed, they must be kept in the refrigerator.
-Shelf Life: For the best quality and flavor, we recommend using your eggs within 4 to 5 weeks.
-Preparation: As with any farm product, it’s always a good practice to wash your hands after handling raw eggs.
