Welcome to Heatherverse Unlimited. We’re glad you’re here. Before you dive in, we want to be crystal clear about what we do, what we don’t do, and what you need to know to use our platform safely and responsibly.
This disclaimer covers everything from how our platform works to what we’re responsible for (and what we’re not). Read it carefully. If you have questions, reach out.
1. We’re a Matchmaking Platform, Not a Service Provider
Let’s start with the most important thing: Heatherverse Unlimited does not perform any work listed on our platform. We don’t do plumbing, electrical, roofing, or any of the services you see here.
What we do is connect you with independent contractors and service providers from our vetted network. They handle all the work. They’re responsible for quality, timeliness, pricing, and completion.
We’re the introduction. They’re the ones doing the job.
We also offer coaching for business owners and SEO/digital marketing related services. These services are provided as-is, without any guarantees. We don’t guarantee specific results, increased revenue, improved search rankings, or any particular outcomes from our coaching or digital marketing services.
Our coaching and SEO/digital marketing services are based on our experience and best practices. Results vary depending on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, your implementation, your industry, and your competition.
You use these services at your own risk. We recommend treating our guidance as educational support, not guaranteed results. Always consult with other professionals and do your own research before making business decisions based on our coaching or recommendations.
Partner & Marketing Disclosure
This website is a marketing and lead generation platform designed to connect users with independent local professionals and service partners (“Partners”). Heatherverse Unlimited does not directly provide the services described on this site.
All claims, descriptions, and representations regarding the services, results, or capabilities of the professionals listed are based on information provided through our partnerships and are intended for informational and illustrative purposes only. This material is designed to provide users with a general idea of the types of services our Partners can offer in specific areas.
We do not warrant, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any claims made by third-party Partners, nor do we guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided. It is the sole responsibility of the user to verify the credentials, licensing, insurance, and professional standing of any Partner or professional before entering into a contract or agreement. Heatherverse Unlimited shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from interactions or transactions between users and third-party Partners.
Strategic Facilitation & Innovation Disclosure
Heatherverse Unlimited provides creative strategy, innovation consulting, and project facilitation services. While we may assist in the conceptualization, “innovation” phase, or the arrangement of services between users and professionals, Heatherverse Unlimited is not a licensed contractor, tradesperson, or technical service provider.
Any “help” provided in arranging work or connecting customers with professionals is strictly limited to administrative and consultative facilitation. Our involvement in the creative or strategic process does not constitute supervision, direction, or control over the actual work performed by third-party Partners.
Heatherverse Unlimited does not assume liability for the physical execution, technical accuracy, or final outcome of the work performed by independent professionals, regardless of our role in the projectโs arrangement or initial conceptualization. All final work product, safety standards, and project deliverables are the sole responsibility of the independent professional performing the work.
Our Partners are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or joint venturers of Heatherverse Unlimited. No joint venture or partnership is created by our facilitation of these services.
Claims made in our content is made on behalf of the partners that we are currently working with or have worked with in the past.
2. Directory Listings Are Community Contributions
Our directory is built by our community. That means listings can be added by business owners, customers, or people who just want to help boost a local business’s visibility.
Here’s what that means for you:
We review listings to make sure they look like real businesses and not scams. But we’re not responsible for incorrect information, outdated details, or inaccuracies in listings.
Verified profiles are claimed and updated directly by the business owner. These are more reliable because the business is actively managing their information.
Unverified listings may have been added by someone other than the business. They might be helpful, but they might also be incomplete or outdated.
Always check the verification status. When in doubt, reach out to the business directly to confirm details.
3. Our Job Board Is Run by Independent Business Owners
Our job board directory is maintained by independent business owners who post opportunities. These aren’t Heatherverse jobs. They’re their jobs.
Be cautious when applying. Vet the business before you share personal information. Ask questions. Check them out. Make sure they’re a good fit for you.
Don’t hand out sensitive information (Social Security number, bank details, etc.) without doing your homework first. Use common sense. If something feels off, it probably is.
4. Marketplace Listings Are for Local Use Only
Our marketplace is designed for local transactions. That means meeting in person, seeing items before you buy, and handling payment directly.
We are not responsible for:
- Accuracy of listings
- Damages or loss from using our platform
- Disputes between buyers and sellers
- Payment or shipping issues
- Illegal or harmful listings posted by others
We recommend local meetups only. This protects both buyers and sellers. You get to see what you’re buying. Sellers don’t have to worry about shipping or payment fraud.
Use your best judgment. Meet in safe, public places. Inspect items carefully. Agree on price before exchanging money.
Listings are monitored, but we are human and not able to catch everything. Please help us by reporting listings that do not meet our standards or may result in harm to someone, or violate our use policies.
5. Information Changes Regularly
Our website is maintained by real humans, not robots. That means sometimes information takes time to update.
Contractor availability changes. Pricing shifts. Listings get added or removed. Service areas expand or contract.
We do our best to keep everything current. But we can’t guarantee that every piece of information is 100% up-to-date at every moment. If you need the most current information about a contractor or service, reach out directly.
6. Articles Reflect Writer Opinions
Articles on our platform reflect the opinions and experiences of the writers. They’re not gospel. They’re not professional advice.
Use your own judgment. Consider multiple sources. Consult qualified professionals (lawyers, accountants, contractors, etc.) before making important decisions based on what you read here.
We share these articles to help and inspire. But the final call is always yours.
7. We May Earn Affiliate Commissions
We fund our work through a few different channels. One of them is affiliate commissions.
Throughout our website, you may see links to products, services, or resources. If you click those links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This doesn’t cost you anything extra. It’s just how we help keep the lights on and the team working.
We’re transparent about it. We only recommend things we genuinely believe in and that align with our mission of supporting small businesses and helping you find reliable service.
We also accept sponsored content from time to time. When we do, it always aligns with our small business values. We won’t promote anything that contradicts what we stand for.
8. We’re Not Responsible for Third-Party Links or External Sites
We link to external websites throughout our platform. Contractor websites. Resource pages. Partner sites. You name it.
We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those external sites. What happens on their site is their responsibility, not ours.
If you click a link and end up somewhere that doesn’t feel right, that’s not on us. Use the same caution you’d use anywhere on the internet.
9. No Guarantees on Contractor Performance
Here’s something we need to be really clear about: We do not guarantee contractor performance.
We vet our contractors carefully. We check licenses. We review portfolios. We ask around the community. We monitor customer reviews. We remove contractors who don’t meet our standards.
But we can’t guarantee their work quality, timeliness, pricing, or completion of projects. We can’t guarantee they’ll show up on time or finish when they say they will.
Do your own due diligence. Get written contracts. Verify licenses and insurance independently. Ask for references. Check reviews. Agree on pricing and timeline in writing.
If something goes wrong, that’s between you and the contractor. We’re not a mediator or arbitrator.
10. Limitation of Liability
Here’s the legal part, but we’ll keep it simple.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any. If you paid nothing, our liability is nothing.
We’re not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any other consequential damages that result from using our platform.
We do our best to keep everything running smoothly and safely. But we can’t be responsible for every possible outcome.
11. User-Generated Content
Reviews. Comments. Testimonials. Forum posts. Any content submitted by users is their opinion, not ours.
We’re not responsible for user-generated content. We reserve the right to remove inappropriate, offensive, or false content. But we can’t monitor everything in real-time.
If you see something that violates our values or policies, let us know. We’ll take a look and act accordingly.
12. Contractor Pricing and Fees
Contractors on our platform set their own pricing. The fees and rates you see are provided by them and subject to change.
Paying us doesn’t guarantee placement, leads, or specific results. We connect you with contractors. What happens after that is up to them and you.
Always confirm pricing directly with the contractor before you commit to anything.
13. Geographic Limitations
Our services may not be available in all areas. Contractor availability varies by location.
Just because we’re expanding nationally and globally doesn’t mean we have contractors everywhere yet. Check our service area map to see if we cover your location.
14. We Reserve the Right to Change Things
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our platform at any time. We may change our fees, our services, or our policies.
We’ll do our best to give you notice when big changes are coming. But we can’t always predict what the future holds.
15. Disputes Are Between You and the Contractor
If something goes wrong between you and a contractor, that’s a dispute between you two.
We’re not a mediator or arbitrator. We don’t settle disputes. We don’t take sides. We don’t refund money or force contractors to redo work.
You’ll need to work it out directly with the contractor. If you can’t, you may need to pursue legal action or arbitration on your own.
16. All Information Is Provided “As-Is”
Everything on our platform. All information, listings, content, and services. It’s all provided “as-is” without any warranties of any kind.
We don’t warrant that information is accurate, complete, or current. We don’t warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
You use our platform at your own risk. You rely on information at your own risk.
17. Articles and Content Are for Information Only
Our articles, guides, and content are for informational purposes only. They’re not professional advice.
We’re not lawyers. We’re not accountants. We’re not licensed contractors. Don’t treat our content as if we are.
Before making important decisions, consult with qualified professionals in your area. Get legal advice from a lawyer. Get financial advice from an accountant. Get construction advice from a licensed contractor.
18. Age and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use our platform.
By using Heatherverse Unlimited, you represent that you have the authority to enter into agreements and that you’re not prohibited by law from using our services.
19. Intellectual Property Rights
Heatherverse Unlimited owns the platform, our branding, our logo, our original content, and all the systems that make everything work.
You can’t scrape, copy, or misuse our content. You can’t use our platform to build a competing service. You can’t steal our ideas or our intellectual property.
Respect what we’ve built. We’ll respect what you’re doing.
Each business mentioned owns its branding. We are an aggregator and not looking to steal content from our users.
20. Force Majeure
Sometimes things happen that are completely beyond our control. Natural disasters. Internet outages. Pandemics. Acts of God.
We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control. We’ll do everything we can to keep the platform running. But sometimes, the world has other plans.
Got Questions?
We know this is a lot. If you have questions about what we do, what we don’t do, or what you should know before using our platform, reach out.
We’re here to help. We’re here to be transparent. We’re here to make sure you have a great experience.
